Release Overview

Carvia's VDP application deploys on any dealer site platform — the website your store already runs, without waiting on a template rebuild.

From the client portal, choose the preset for that platform and copy one Custom HTML tag into Google Tag Manager. The preset places the vehicle, mileage, price, and on-page position correctly for the site. Publish the tag on VDP pages, keep your domain verified, and Carvia is live where shoppers already shop.

Groups that run more than one platform get the same VDP application on every rooftop. Internet managers go live without a website project. Website vendors keep control of the template.

The Problem We Solved

A VDP application that only works after a website vendor changes the template leaves most rooftops waiting.

Dealership websites sit on many platforms. Some stores can edit the page template. Many cannot — or the change sits in a vendor queue for weeks. Groups often run different platforms across rooftops. Until Carvia could deploy through the tools dealers already use, the application stayed stuck behind a site project.

The commercial need is simple: put Carvia on the dealer site you already have, on any platform, without rebuilding that site.

Before this release
With any-platform deployment
Go-live often waited on a template change
Deploy through Google Tag Manager on the site you run today
Different platforms meant different install stories
One VDP application; choose the preset for each platform
Groups with mixed sites faced extra coordination
Same application across rooftops, each on its own platform
Website vendors owned the placement path
Internet managers publish one tag and keep the template intact

03

What's New

One VDP application across dealer platforms — with a preset per platform and one tag in Google Tag Manager.

New

Carvia on any dealer site platform

The same VDP application deploys on the platform your dealership already runs. You do not need a new website, a custom page build, or a long vendor project to place Carvia on the vehicle detail page.

New

Platform presets in the client portal

Choose the preset that matches your site. The preset fills in where the vehicle, mileage, price, and on-page position come from for that platform — so Carvia lands correctly without hand-tuning the page.

New

One Custom HTML tag for Google Tag Manager

Copy a single Custom HTML tag from the client portal. Paste it into Google Tag Manager, fire it on DOM Ready for VDP pages, and publish. That is the install path for stores that deploy through Tag Manager.

Core

Verified domain

Carvia only runs on your verified domain. Keep that verification current so the application stays tied to your dealership site.

04

How to Install

Four steps. No template edit required when you deploy through Google Tag Manager.

  1. Choose the platform preset for the website your store runs.
  2. Paste the one Custom HTML tag into Google Tag Manager.
  3. Fire it on DOM Ready for vehicle detail pages.
  4. Keep the domain verified in your Carvia account.
Still editing the page yourself? When you control the VDP template, you can place Carvia directly on the page. That path stays available — see Your Full Carvia Report, One Embed. Google Tag Manager is the path when the template is not yours to change.

Value by Role

For internet and marketing directors

  • Go live on the platform you already use — no website rebuild to place Carvia on the VDP
  • One tag to manage — publish through Google Tag Manager and keep control of when it fires
  • Consistent across rooftops — the same application on every site in a group, each with its own platform preset

Scenario: Your store cannot edit the VDP template this quarter. You choose the platform preset, paste one tag, fire it on DOM Ready for VDP pages, and Carvia is on the lot overnight.

For general managers

  • Carvia on the site shoppers already use — no separate microsite or site project
  • Faster time to value — deployment is not blocked by a vendor release calendar
  • One story for the group — every rooftop runs the same VDP application

Scenario: Three rooftops, three website platforms. Each gets the same Carvia VDP application through Tag Manager, without three template projects.

For website vendors and IT

  • Template stays yours — Carvia deploys through Tag Manager without rewriting the VDP layout
  • Clear publish path — one Custom HTML tag, DOM Ready on VDP pages, verified domain
  • No fork of the page — platform presets handle vehicle, mileage, price, and placement for that site
